Having lost the toss they were invited to bat by a very strong Chippingdales team.

In their ten overs, Chichester posted a very impressive 145 for the loss of only two wickets.

Openers Stanley Mayne (37no) and Toby Toft (36no) got the team off to a great start. This was followed up by Thomas Bisatt and Tom Baily, who both made 20 before they had to retire.

In reply Chipps got off to a flying start and at the halfway stage were well ahead of the required run rate – but good bowling and fielding from all the team pegged back the scoring and Chichester ran out winners by 11 runs.

Sean Dobbs coaches all the Chichester juniors and did a great job with the boys all winter.

Chichester juniors have started their outdoor training and their first matches have been played. They have training and matches from under-eights to under-17s. Contact [email protected] for more information.
