Members of the league held a minute’s silence for Jacko before play started.

The division-one contest drew 12 pairs and the first semi-final saw Richard Ragless and Rob Ragless (Wheatsheaf) take on Graeme Dutton and Dave Owens (POW Z). The match went to the third leg but victory went to Dutton, who scored two 180s, and Owens.

The second semi-final saw Colin Mace and Ray Wellfare (POW Z) lose to Chris Gatford & Geoff Bennett (Chi Snooker B).

In the final, after playing on top form for most of the night, the Chi Snooker duo took it to the max, but the POW Z pair were hungry for another win and took the title.

In division two, eight pairs were taking part and the first semi-final was between Adi Linfield and Tom Spencer (Chi Snooker C) and Steve Aizlewood & John Abbott (BRSA B). A close-fought game between both pairs gave Aizlewood and Abbott a chance, but they didn’t take it.

The second semi-final also saw the BRSA B take on Chi Snooker C, with Terry Smith and Mick Delaney bow out to Keith Robinson and George Knight.

As they did last year, in both the summer and winter leagues, Chi Snooker Club dominated their division to fill all the final spaces. In the winter it was Linfield teaming up with Knight, and Spencer with Robinson, but now it was Linfield and Spencer versus Robinson and Knight, the latter pair coming through to win.

Division three saw a full 16 pairings turn up. In the first semi-final Mark Todd and Bradley Marshall (BRSA Ravens) beat Sam Chant ans Les Chant (The Battleships).

The second semi saw an all-Newtown SC X knockout between Lewis Campling and Darren Temple and their team-mates Jason Webster and Paul Meuross. Campling and Temple are the top two players in their team and made it to the final.

Campling and Temple pushed it to the limit but Todd and Marshall scored well and won 2-1.
