Top ten final averages: Gary Blackwood (Claremont) 39.85, Andy Whiteley (Chi Snooker C) 36.96, Ashley Clements (Old Barn) 35.21, Cliff Prior (Chi Snooker B) 34.78, Dave Cox (Chi Snooker C) 33.87, Chris Gatford (Chi Snooker B) 32.17, Ben Marley (Crown Snooker) 31.74, Barry Foster (Lamb) 31.26, Nick Spicer (Claremont) 31.22, Tom O’Sullivan (Legionnaires) 30.32.

The league concluded with presentations and the captains and vice-captains’ knockout. It was a nice busy night at the Bognor RBL for the knockout finals night and the full competition for the captains and secretaries’ knockout.

Missed ton-plus out shots and a 180 couldn’t get some teams through the early rounds of the captains and secretaries’ knockout. Into the semi-finals were The Cabin, Royal Oak, Claremont and the Bognor Legion.

Despite the Legion’s Tony Tucker hitting a 180 in their second-round game, they didn’t have enough for the might of The Claremont. The Royal Oak maintained winning form by dumping out The Cabin on the way to the final.

In the final, Richard Ragless and Derek Longhurst playe for the Royal Oak, Mike Hales and Nick Spicer for the Claremont.

The Claremont just had too much for the Royal Oak to handle and took the title. The Claremont have dominated the season and will need a forklift truck to take their trophies back to the pub.
