Former England cricketer Jonathan Trott was one of the stars of this year’s Chichester Speakers’ Festival to talk about his new book, Unguarded: My Autobiography.
The book tells of his route to helping England bring home the Ashes in 2013 and his subsequent faltering in the face of mounting pressure for the Ashes tour down under six months later.
Trott spoke about his roots as a budding cricketer – from the age of three – in South Africa, about his cricketing heroes, highs and lows in the sport and how he takes sledging in cricket as a compliment of his ability.
