Bognor will be back in December - with awayday double

Manager Jack Pearce and coach Robbie Blake say they are determined to have the Rocks squad in fine fettle when the action resumes next month.

Bognor were on a decent run when new restrictions for the latest lockdown came into play, but the promise of football inches closer today with the news of the first few fixtures when the season resumes.

Rocks general manager Simon Cook has now confirmed the following matches:

Tuesday 8 December v. Thame United (away) FA Trophy. Kick off 7.45pm.

Saturday 12 December v. Brightlingsea Regent (away) League. Kick off 3.00pm

Fixtures beyond December 12 will be as per the original fixture list, with games that were missed in November being rearranged in due course.

Cook added: “If we win the FA Trophy match at Thame, the next round (second round) will be played on Tuesday 15 December, with the 3rd Round scheduled for Saturday December 19.”

And Blake says he is excited by the news and that he and Pearce are putting plans in place to get the squad together for training sessions so they are in good shape for the resumption of football.

He added: "We're chatting on WhatsApp with the players and keeping it as upbeat as possible. We were on a decent run before the shutdown and we want to be ready and fit to go once restrictions are lifted."
