Bosham FC celebrate a big win ... off the pitch

Bosham have completed one of their biggest wins to date '“ a sponsorship package worth up to £20,000 with home improvement retailer Wickes.

The club, founded in 1901, won a full clubhouse makeover by Wickes which has breathed new life into the club’s facilities.

The team have also received Wickes-branded kits in the promotion run in conjunction with The Sun.

Bosham first-team manager, Tony Hancock said: “We are so happy to have won this sponsorship package with Wickes. It’s a well-needed boost for all of our players, chairman and committee, and such an honour to have been picked out of all the teams who entered.”

Almost 300 teams entered competition and Wickes brand marketing director Tony Holdway said: “Everyone at Wickes is delighted to be helping Bosham FC. The local support for the team is fantastic, and it’s a great example of how football can bring a community together.

Hancock added: “We all love the club, but its facilities were starting to show their age a bit. Wickes have given it a well-needed facelift and it is amazing to have a clubhouse we can all be proud of when other teams visit.”
