Three of the goals came in the first half before a rather uneventful second half came to life in the final five minutes when another three were scored.

It didn't take long for Bognor to go ahead. Just four minutes in, a cross by Brad Lethbridge found James Crane and he teed up Ben Mendoza in the middle of the box, who converted it in low into the net.

The second goal arrived on eight minutes. The goalkeeper committed himself leaving the goal empty following a cross and Lethbridge poked into an unguarded net.

Bognor made it three on 34 minutes. A nice run down the left by Ashton Leigh saw him place a swift cross into the area and trialist Alfie Lis slotted in beyond the goalkeeper with his first touch.

For East Preston Dodd was set through immediately after but his low strike was kept out by Taylor Seymour, who parried it away.

Joe Cook - who has now signed for the Rocks - made a short run before striking from long distance but his effort was always rising.

Calvin Davies replaced Keaton Wood at half-time and Tommy Leigh was moved to centre-back while Crane moved to left-back. Lethbridge was replaced by Harvey Whyte. The Rocks brought off Mendoza for Will Stone on 51 minutes after the midfielder took a knock.

The Rocks had the best of the second half but didn't add to their tally until late on.

Great build up play saw Lis and Kieran Rowe thread the ball through to Will Stone who did well before rounding the goalkeeper and scoring in an empty net on 86 minutes.

Bognor made it five on 88 minutes when Lis' piercing run saw him shoot low then tap in on the rebound.

Stone netted again on the half-volley. Many in the ground thought it was offside with the linesman having his flag up but the referee awarded the goal to make it 6-0 to the visitors.

Bognor's next game is away to Chichester City on Friday, September 4.

Rocks: Seymour, Crane, A Leigh, Robb, Cook, Wood (Davies HT), Rowe, Mendoza (Stone 51), Lis, T Leigh (Baker 57), Lethbridge (Whyte HT).
