GALLERY: Selsey footballers pay tribute to much-loved '˜Whitey'

It was a sad day at Selsey Football Club as players, friends and family members paid their respects to popular club president Dave White, who died recently.

Before their SCFL division-one game against Oakwood, the first team, reserves and scores of youth players joined club officials and Mr White’s family to stage a minute’s silence and applause and lay wreaths in the centre circle.

His tireless work for the club over many years was remembered and celebrated.

If Mr White was looking down on proceedings, no doubt he would have approved - and a 4-0 win for his Blues over Oakwood that followed would also have gone down well.
