Hughton keen to bounce back quickly
Brighton manager Chris Hughton is eager to bounce back from Tuesday's defeat to Newcastle as quick as possible.
The Seagulls dropped to second in the Championship as Newcastle took over at the top and travel to a Nottingham Forest side who are winless in four games and seventh from bottom tomorrow.
Hughton said: "Their form has been up and down, they've had some young players playing that I think have done well for them.
"But it wouldn't make any difference what game was next, it's always an opportunity and, for us, we're on the back of a defeat against Newcastle and what we want to be able to do is bounce back.
"What we need to do is make sure we get ourselves right after the defeat on Tuesday, have a good few days which we will do, then put ourselves in a position to get a result again."
Hughton admits the results below his side are more important than what Newcastle do and said: "At this moment, probably the results below us are more important than the ones above us. Ultimately for us, it's about trying to get promotion in whatever way.
"We're second in the division and we would like to stay in these high places where we are now. The only way to do that is to win enough games but the quality below us at the moment is of a very high standard and teams are not losing too many games.
"If there's one thing we have learnt about this division, it's that you have to keep churning out results because others will."
Third-placed Huddersfield host leaders Newcastle in the later kick-off on Saturday and Hughton said: "That won't be the only big game. Almost as each weekend or midweek passes, there are going to be big games, vital games, that either we're going to be involved in or somebody else is.
"That's the league and I'm quite sure there will be lots of twists and turns."
