CHICHESTER CITY Ladies can look forward to a home clash with Keynsham in the first round of the FA Cup after hammering AEK Boco 10-0 in the fourth qualifying round.

There were two goals each for Amy Found, Jenna Fowlie and Shannon Albuery, andone each for Tammy Waine, Chloe Dowdell, Emily Symonds and Becky Barron.

The tie had been called off the previous week because of a waterlogged pitch but Chichester were able to visit AEK Boco last Sunday. Having beaten Shanklin Ladies, who play in the same league as Chichester, Boco were hoping to complete another upset – but it wasn’t to be as a professional performance saw Chichester score ten without conceding.

Chichester started at lightning pace looking to put any hopes Boco had of an upset to the sword early on. They found themselves five goals to the good within 15 minutes as excellent work from Waine up front created a succession of chances.

Albuery opened the scoring and this was followed up by strikes Found, Barron, Fowlie and Waine.

Two further goals were scored before the break with Found scoring a free-kick and Dowdell a close-range back-heel.

At the break Chichester were seven goals up but knew the need to remain professional in the second half.

Boco started the half a lot more defensively than the first, leaving three strikers high but having everyone else behind the ball for the majority of the game.

Chichester continued to dominate and scored further goals through defender Symonds, arriving at the back post, and Fowlie. The scoring was complete as unselfish work from Waine allowed a simple tap-in for Aulbery from six yards.

Chichester now play Keynsham Town at home on December 6 in the first round proper.

City’s development side and youth teams had their games rained off.
