Ross Jarvis struck a minute into stoppage-time as Lowestoft sent Bognor to a 2-1 Ryman League Premier defeat on Saturday.
James Crane had cancelled out Ryan Jarvis’ early effort and the game looked to be heading for a draw.
However, Ross Jarvis had other ideas striking with 91 minutes on the clock to send Rocks to a third league defeat of the season.
Bognor boss Jamie Howell felt the loss was a tough one to take and said: “We created some really good chances but Lowestoft’s stand-in goalkeeper was in inspired form.
“Standing on the sideline, I had a feeling it was going to be one of those days and it turned out that way.
“When you see the chances being created but then not taking them, you always have that feeling.
“We conceded an uncharacteristic goal late on and then they took all three points.
“It was just a bad day at the office and one we want to bounce back from.”
Bognor’s injury issues were so severe that coach Darin Kilpatrick was forced to make an appearance on the bench.
Lowestoft took the lead after 16 minutes as Ryan Jarvis was on hand to fire past Dan Lincoln after being picked out by a Chris Henderson cross.
Back came Bognor and they were level 20 minutes into the second half. Lorenzo Dolcetti saw a strike parried clear but Crane was on hand to poke home at the second attempt.
Chances came and went for Rocks as they failed to find a winner, before Ross Jarvis struck a minute into second half stoppage-time as Lowestoft came away with all three points.
ROCKS: Lincoln; Davies, Cadman, Tuck, El-Abd, Field, Crane, Budd, Byrne, Pearce, Parsons. Subs: Sanders (Davies), Dolcetti (Parsons), Robinson, Kilpatrick.
