Wasps prove real pests as Chichester laadies are beaten

Chichester Ladies II 3

Crawley Wasps Reserves 5

This was third versus second and Chichester started well. A nice lay-off from Natalie Spencer allowed Nikki Jarman to smash the ball into the top corner within the first ten minutes.

Crawley equalised and quickly went 2-1 up.

Georgina Starkey scored direct from a corner to make it 2-2 before half-time.

Starkey was causing problems but was unfairly tackled many times. She and Kerri Grant and Spencer all played well.

Two lapses in concentration allowed Crawley to take a 4-2 lead.

Chichester looked threatening but were hit with pace on the counter-attack and Crawley went 5-2 up.

Spencer finished smartly to make it 5-3.

CHICHESTER: Collins, Harnett, Garner, Leogue(60), Darkin, Smith, Jarman (60), Cottam-Verbruggen, Starkey, Spencer, Grant, Subs: Cole, Knowles.
