Only this time it will be for a legends outfit alongside a host of familiar Fratton names.

The powerful striker departed the Blues in March 2015 following eight goals in 69 matches.

A popular figure among the Fratton faithful, Agyemang has agreed to pull on his boots once again for a fundraising event from 4-6pm on Sunday, May 22.

Pompey Legends joint-manager Tony Male has also tempted back Shaun Cooper, who had three spells with the club.

The pair will join Darren Anderton, Andy Awford, Chris Burns, Guy Butters, Alan Knight, Lee Bradbury, Jamie Vincent, Paul Walsh, Kit Symons and Linvoy Primus for the Covers-sponsored occasion.

The legends’ squad will play several 30-minute matches on the Fratton turf against different opposition who have paid for the match-up.

Proceeds will be split between Pompey’s Academy, the Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation and Pompey in the Community, with £4,000 last year raised.

Supporters can watch Agyemang and Co in action, with the option to give a donation or buy a programme for entry.

And organiser Male is hoping for a good turn out.

He said: ‘I am friends with Patrick on Facebook so sent him a message, told him what we were doing and he said he would love to come and have a game.

‘Apparently, he is not fit at the moment, but when I told him he would be the youngest player in the side I think that swayed him!

‘We managed to get hold of Shaun Cooper through Darren Anderton, they are good friends, and once I texted him he jumped at the chance.

‘Paul Walsh tried to get hold of Teddy Sheringham, but sadly he is in Portugal, otherwise would have been there as well.

‘You normally end up with seven or eight ex-pros and then others to make up the squad, but this year we seem to have done really well.

‘We’ll have to mix up the side for each game as they all can’t play all the time, but it will be a fantastic occasion for the supporters – and bring back many memories.’

Afterwards, the Victory Lounge will host a party from 7-12pm, with proceeds to the Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation.

Tickets are priced £5 and available from the club, the Three Marines pub and all outlets of Covers.
