Your thoughts on that please, Jay.

We came out of the traps really quickly and that is going to have an important impact on most of our games.

Having that high intensity troubles sides and I don’t think Notts County expected it. We didn’t give them a chance to settle and chased in packs.

The high-tempo game can be our strength and we need to do that more often.

We have seen before that if the opposition settle then it makes it more difficult to break them down.

Man of the match has to be Kyle Bennett, surely?

Totally agree. Like most of our players, when on-form he is really on-form – but there is always that inconsistency.

When Bennett runs at players he needs to be more direct at times and when he does he causes a lot of problems.

I just think he sometimes checks back too often, that is the one thing about him which really annoys me.

He used his pace really well for the first goal and the second I initially thought it had gone wide!

What did you think about Michael Smith?

I was a bit dubious at first about him but he did well at Accrington the other week and impressed again.

He has a good goalscoring pedigree and doesn’t give up, he chases everything and people like to see that.

Although a lot of people were saying beforehand they couldn’t understand why Marc McNulty was on the bench and are still unsure.

Next up AFC Wimbledon then.

They lost again and I think we can go there on Monday and make it six points in this period.

Results didn’t go for us, while Bristol Rovers won their sixth successive game but we are still five points off.

If it’s the play-offs so be it but I can’t see us being in League Two next season.
