Bognor have already announced plans to visit Horndean on Saturday, July 24, and host Dorking on Friday, July 30.

Although no other dates are fixed just yet, Pearce said they were optimistic of welcoming Pompey to Nyewood Lane - for a fixture that's been played every year since 2013, apart from last summer - and would be visiting Havant and Waterlooville too.

A game against Chichester City - either at Nyewood Lane or Oaklands Park - is also planned.

The club have started to re-sign players for next season, with Amadou Tangara, James Crane, Harvey Whyte and Brad Lethbridge set to join new recruit Joe Hancott in the squad, and more deals due soon.

It comes as Rocks bosses are working to make the award-winning Nyewood Lane pitch even better – and improve their training area and youth team pitches.
