The Academy skipper has signed on loan at Nyewood Lane for the remainder of the campaign.

In doing so he joins fellow Blues youngsters Chad Field and Snorre Nilsen at the Ryman League Premier Division club.

Right-back Davies made his Pompey debut in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat at Exeter in September.

He also previously spent time on loan at the Hawks, making five appearances earlier this season.

The highly-regarded youngster was an integral part of the Academy side which reached the third round of the FA Youth Cup against Manchester City.

He scored twice in the previous round victory at Bristol Rovers, also netting a spot kick in the successful penalty shoot-out.

Now he has gone to the Rocks for first-team action to assist his on-going progress at Fratton Park.

Boss of the non-leaguers, Jamie Howell, has established a fruitful link with Pompey in recent times in terms of loan recruits.

Brandon Haunstrup represented them for one match last season, ahead of his four Blues appearances this season.

Field and Nilsen also featured for the Rocks last term, playing 14 matches between them to earn a return for the current campaign.

Central defender Field has made 36 appearances this season, scoring once, and has also operated in midfield.

Nilsen is a right-back or midfielder who has turned out 29 times and netted three goals in the current campaign.

The duo continue to impress Rocks supporters having established themselves as regulars.

And the arrival of Davies is expected to allow Nilsen to leave the right-back role and return to midfield.

The Blues have this month also loaned out Brandon Joseph-Buadi, Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kaleem Haitham for first-team experience.

The Academy trio have joined Wimborne Town for an initial month as they seek to win first-year professional deals at Fratton Park.

Joseph-Buadi marked his debut with a goal as the Magpies last weekend beat Larkhill 2-0 to move up into 18th spot.

However, the club are in financial trouble off the pitch, with debts of around £110,000 revealed at a fans forum on Monday night.
