#pompeyvoices: Make yourself heard in Sports Mail pullout

Grab a copy of the Sports Mail tomorrow for our eight-page pullout #pompeyvoices

We have teamed up with Pompey to delve into the club’s history with stories told by the fans.

And the Blues are looking for more supporters to help tell the club’s story through their new, interactive history website pompeyvoices.co.uk

The site was launched in the summer and hundreds of fans have already registered and added their stories.

Working with Collective Narrative – a company which has developed similar sites for Manchester City and Derby County – Pompey have created a powerful platform to capture text, images and video.

Colin Farmery, who heads up history and archiving projects at the club, said: ‘We have been working with Collective Narrative for about 18 months.

‘They have a track record in building user-friendly portals to collect material which can be displayed in an attractive format.

‘We were delighted when they approached us to work on this project, as they recognised the passion of the Pompey fans and were sure they had many interesting stories to tell.

‘As a community club we are keen to cherish and develop our archive, so #pompeyvoices was born.

‘The site has a core content which tells the official online story of the club.

‘But we want fans, who are our lifeblood, to now add their stories to create a parallel social history of Pompey.’

If you want to get involved and add your story, just sign up at pompeyvoices.co.uk

The team at #pompeyvoices are looking for any memories – the more personal the better.

The memories you add can be anything from your first match or greatest goal.

A date is key but if you can’t remember, just use one you think is close by and the team of historians will piece the clues together to pin down the correct date.

The #pompeyvoices team also want to see any pictures or memorabilia you may have.

As an incentive to get more people involved, the #pompeyvoices team will be giving away a signed first team shirt to a lucky fan, drawn at random from every contributor to the site up until Monday, November 30.
