JOSH PASSLEY is set to be available for the trip to Cambridge.
The right-sided player was taken off at half-time in the 1-0 win over Exeter on Saturday.
But Andy Awford explained it was a precautionary measure after Passley felt his hamstring tighten.
Andy Barcham replaced the 21-year-old, who is on loan from Fulham,
Awford said: ‘Josh (Passley) is just a tight hamstring, he was on the touchline side and reported it after about 25-30 minutes.
‘He got through to half-time and was assessed. It was tight, it has not gone, so hopefully we have caught it early enough.
‘If you put him back out there and he tears it and is out six to eight weeks you never forgive yourself, so it was the right decision.
‘Andy Barcham is the obvious replacement but I think Josh will be alright for the weekend.
‘We can get him treated and get him right.’
Awford is comfortable about his options if Passley fails to recover in time for the trip to the Abbey Stadium.
He said: ‘If I need a player to come in then Andy is that obvious replacement.
‘Andy did well when he came on.
‘He has not played there too much, but has played there in the reserves a couple of times now.
‘When we work in training and swap the personnel round he has been playing that way.
‘He did great and that is what the squad is for.
‘Jed can play out there if need be and we can play Nigel (Atangana) in central areas if we wanted to.
‘Johnny (Ertl) can come into a central area – there are plenty options from the bench and in the squad.’
