An evening playing pool with Mark Catlin is up for grabs in a bid to boost Pompey History funds.
The ‘Love Pompey, Love PompeyHistory’ fanfunding campaign is underway to raise money to purchase Pompey memorabilia not currently owned by the club.
The aim is for such items to then be displayed at future events, with the long-term objective to put them in a club museum.
Recently a prize draw was conducted with supporter Dave Sargent claiming first prize of a pool evening with Pompey’s chief executive at the Shepherds Crook.
However, he has now thrown it open for sealed bids, with all proceeds going towards the Pompey History project.
Not only will the winning recipient have the opportunity to play pool with Catlin, it also represents the chance to share thoughts with the Blues’ chief executive during a relaxed evening.
To be in with a chance of winning, you can email your offer to email@example.com or send a direct message to @pompeynewsnow on Twitter by Saturday, November 7.
The winner will be announced on Sunday, November 8.
Meanwhile, the next Pompey FC History Day and Programme Fair is scheduled to be held on Sunday, November 29.
The event was successfully launched in April, organised by Colin Farmery and a small group of fans, with many of the team also behind the new #PompeyVoices website.
Now it is returning later this month with the theme focused on Jimmy Dickinson and the First Division title-winning teams of the late 40s and early 50s.
Moves are also underway to erect a model of Pompey’s leading appearance maker on the corner of Velder Avenue and Milton Road.
Graham Farmer is heading that project to raise between £50,000 and £75,000, hoping to ensure a tribute to a man who made 828 appearances as a player becomes a reality.
And organisers are looking to receive a funding boost by joining forces with the Pompey History Day.
In addition, anyone wishing to have a stall at the programme fair on November 29 should contact Chris Gibbs.
People are warned that due to other displays taking part in the Victory Suite at the same time, there will be limited space for programme stall holders.
