Royle Family, Olympics and X Factor will be represented at Pagham

PAGHAM are adding quickly to the list of famous names confirmed for the Southampton Legends' visit to Nyetimber Lane this Sunday.

Olympic 400m medalist Iwan Thomas, TV’s Ralph Little, X Factor winner Steve Brookstein and former Olympic ski jumper Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards are among the celebrities playing.

Ex-footballers confirmed include keepers Paul Jones and Dave Beasant, Jimmy Case, Gordon Watson, Reuben Agboola, Ian Baird, Steve Guppy, Luther Blissett and Jason Dodd.

Gates open at midday and kick-off is at 2pm. Admission is £3 adults, £1.50 concessions.

The Pagham select squad includes manager John Price, chairman Brent Williams, vice-chairman Tony Shea, Darren King and Ray Nunn (committee members), club captain Daren Pearce, coaches Wes Hallett, Paul Atkinson and Dave Reynolds, reserve bosses Martin Burford and Micheal Hamm under-18s manager and physio Dave Jordan and Tim Reedman plus ex-players such as John Tucker, Gary Young, Dave Baker, Jason Geall, Adie Miles, Lee ‘Shakey’ Stevens and other old favourites.
