Scott Murfin struck in Pagham's comeback win at Shoreham last night.

Pagham, Chichester City and Midhurst & Easebourne all secured spots in the next round of competitions but were made to work hard.

Lions came from 2-0 down at the interval to run out 4-2 extra-time victors in their clash with Shoreham.

Mussels, who are current SCFL Premier Division leaders, looked in control as efforts from Kevin Keehan and Jamie Craddock gave them a two-goal cushion in the Peter Bentley Cup third-round Middle Road clash.

But Pagham stormed back with Scott Murfin and Kieron Pamment netting to force an additional 30 minutes. Efforts in the first half of extra-time from Callum Overton and Joe Shelley ensured Lions’ progress.

Chichester blew a 3-1 lead in their third-round clash with fellow Premier Division outfit Newhaven, before going onto seal a 4-3 victory after extra-time.

Kieran Hartley, Omar Barry and Jake Gale all struck to all but seal City’s progress.

However late strikes from Lee Robinson (his second of the evening) and Ryan Walton forced extra-time.

City were not to be denied and, after progressing in the FA Vase on Saturday, Josh Clack’s effort on 98 minutes sealed his side’s spot in round four.

Midhurst made the second-round of this year’s SCFL Division 1 Challenge Cup following a 4-2 penalties victory over Oakwood.

After falling behind to Alfie Slark’s strike on 52 minutes, Midhurst looked to be heading out. Mark Broughton struck two minutes into stoppage-time before his team edged it on penalties.
