This was the last game of the season for Pagham’s two under-16 sides and both sets of players were under scrutiny from the club’s senior management in preparation for next season’s under-18 county campaign.

The first half was end to end but it was Pagham Youth who took the lead when prolific scorer Jack Barnes headed in Conor Game’s right-wing corner.

Pagham Youth keeper Ryan Carter prevented Colts from equalising with a string of fine stops while Colts’ keeper Lewis Tribe pulled off a great save from Game’s free-kick. A Joe Hurford header hit Colts’ post.

In the second half Tribe kept Colts in it with excellent saves from Hurford and Game.
