High fives as Baker beats personal best

Following course records at Hellingly and Arundel in recent weeks, James Baker continued his fine form by breaking his own personal best time when finishing third in the Victory 5 at Portsmouth on Sunday.

In spite of losing his winning six-race unbeaten streak, Baker felt it no disgrace to lose out to Kenyan Williard Chinhanhu, who won the national 10k road race championships and is now based at Poole, Dorset.

Beating his previous best by nearly ten seconds, Baker crossed the line at 25min 5sec, a PB and new club record.
