Mayor pitches into to launch softball season in Chichester
Tomorrow (Tuesday 29) evening, Chichester Falcons Softball Club begin their first home fixture of the season in style.
The Mayor of Chichester, Anne Scicluna, will attend to throw the ceremonial first pitch – a long tradition in baseball and softball where a personality throws the opening pitch of the ball game before the match gets under way.
The game will start at 6.30pm in the southern section of Oaklands Park in Chichester, when the Falcons take on UPSU Shafters from Portsmouth.
