Robert Goodhall has moved up to tackle the Triumph Triple Challenge (TTC) this year on his Brit Racing-run Daytona 675/R.
The TTC is the most competitive one-make motorcycle championship at national level and will be a big test for the 21-year-old security systems installer from Chichester.
The series consists of nine rounds run as a support package to the British Superbike Championship.
Previous years have seen Goodhall finish tenth in the Bemsee Rookis 600 Championship (2011) and during 2012, he finished second in the Bemsee Clubman 600 Championship.
During the first round at Brands Hatch, Goodhall started from 26th and finished in the same position out of a field of 31.
Race two saw him start from 28th and finish 29th.
Round two at Thruxton in Hampshire saw Robert qualify 16th with a time of one minute 31 seconds at an average speed of 92mph around the very fast 2.4-mile circuit.
He got off to a reasonable start and held his position for a while, but as the more experienced Triple Challenge competitors gathered momentum, he slid back to 20th by the end of lap 12 and the chequered flag.
Goodhall lies 18th in the championship standings with one point.
