Chichester Cormorants swimmers competed against the best clubs in the south east at a recent Littlehampton open meet.
Clubs included Portsmouth Northsea, Worthing, Littlehampton, Ryde, Brighton Dolphins, Hailsham, East Grinstead, Atlantis, Box Hill, Bognor, Merton Pisces, Mid Sussex Marlins, Seaclose and Godalming.
The long day showed what the club were made of with a total of seven golds, six silvers, eight bronze medals, 25 new personal bests and 20 county qualifying times.
The event included all strokes at 50m and 200m (nine years and above) and 100m (ten years and above).
There were 200m individual medleys for all swimmers aged nine and above. Outstanding personal performances included Adam Long (15) with two golds, one silver and one bronze; Laura Docherty (14) with one gold, two silvers and two bronze medals and Jessica Rayner (12) with one gold and two bronze medals.

Seven gold winners - Adam Long (15) 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke; Darren Sims 100m butterfly and 200m freestyle; Lauren Smith (9) 50m butterfly; Laura Docherty (13) 50m butterfly; Jessica Rayner (12) 50m breaststroke. Six silver winners - Adam Long (15) 200m individual medley; Darren Sims 50m butterfly; Rowan Baker (14) 100m butterfly; Laura Docherty (13) 50m backstroke and 200m backstroke; Olivia Spink 200m (12) butterfly. Eight bronze - Adam Long (15) 100m freestyle; Lauren Smith (9) 50m freestyle; Laura Docherty (13) 50m butterfly 100m backstroke; Jessica Rayner (12) 100m butterfly and 50m freestyle; Mathilde Butcher (9) 50m breaststroke; Tayla Heron (11) 100m butterfly.
Huge congratulations to all the swimmers who took part including Naomi Blamire, Charlotte Brimsmead, Max Brimsmead, Alfie Carr, Mia Clive, Sam Hadnett, Yasmin Heyworth and Natalya Smith especially those competing for the first time and all those with personal best times.
