With less than a month of the BUCS season remaining, a number of University of Chichester sides moved towards the business end with silverware in their sights.

A 29-21 away victory over UCL secured the first league title of the season, with the netball fifths in imperious form once again.

Tries from Wootton, Blewitt, Wellen, Mangat and Davies secured a vital win for the men’s rugby second team over Westminster ones to move into top-three contention.

In the cup, Rebekah Flatman’s women’s badminton team closed out a 5-3 win over Surrey firsts to move into the semi-finals - and after an impressive BUCS championships display, the team look set for a league and cup double.

Result of the day was the men’s football first team’s 2-1 away victory in the BUCS Championship Cup quarter-final. Earlier in the week the first team had defeated Northumbria 4-1 at the last-16 stage.

Goals from Alex Collard and a Tom Bold 35-yard free-kick secured the win to see them progress into the semi-finals, effectively making Chichester one of the top 4 best teams in the UK.
