It was an upturn in fortunes for the Moore family at Fontwell after Gary’s other riding son, Jamie, suffered a nasty back injury in a fall at the track’s previous fixture.

Last Friday at the figure-of-eight jumps course it was Quloob, the 11/10 favourite, who got the Moores off to a winning start in the Final Furlong Podcast Novices’ Hurdle.

Moore snr made it two from two in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Hurdle, won by 8/13 favourite Seaborn, with Niall Houlihan on board.

And victory for Josh Moore on 9/1 chance King Cool in the Watch Free Race Replays On attheraces.com Handicap Hurdle meant the yard had three winners from the first four races.
