There is over £90,000 in prize money on offer with the feature race being the £22,000 European Breeders Fund EBF Peter Willett Future Stayers’ Maiden Stakes (3.35pm).

The feature boasts a smart roll of honour and three of the seven runners in the field boast previous experience, including Greystoke for Mick Channon. He finished a fine second at Lingfield on his latest start and is capable of playing a leading role here. Happy was well-beaten in a Haydock maiden last time out but hs a smart family.

Of the newcomers, Dhushan cost 150,000gns and is a son of the mighty Sea The Stars. He represents William Haggas and is of major interest. Star Caliber is by Derby hero Golden Horn and cost 200,000gns. He is a brother to Royal Ascot winner Agrotera and is another name to note along with Strictly Spicy who is by King George hero Nathaniel.

Local trainer Gary Moore has an interesting newcomer named Pure Bubbles who is a son of Melbourne Cup winner Protectionist.

The £20,000 Royal Sussex Regiment Handicap (4.40pm) is another interesting event. Nuits St Georges produced a fine performance to socre at Newmarket on his latest start and also boasts winning form over course and distance. However, he could have his work cut out to stop the ultra-progressive Seinesational. He recorded a smooth success over the course and distance on his latest start, backing up a smart win at Sandown previously. He looks more than capable of completing the hat-trick here.

Platitude represents Pulborough handler Amanda Perrett, but he needs to improve on a sixth-placed effort behind Seinesational at Goodwood last time out. Stag Horn romped to a 10-length victory at Catterick on his latest start and remains an exciting prospect for Archie Watson and Hollie Doyle.

The £15,000 Farmer Butcher Chef Fillies’ Nursery Handicap (4.05pm) is another interesting event which features top-weight Royal Address for William Haggas. The £45,00 purchase bolted up on her handicap debut at Sandown last time out looks sure to give a bold bid as she attempts to defy a 14lb rise in the weights. Different Face has run two fine races in defeat since scoring at Lingfield and looks capable of further improvement, whilst recent Listed winner Salsoul is another to note.

In the concluding £9,000 Every Race Live On Racing TV Novice Stakes (5.45pm), this looks a good opportunity for John Locke to finally shed his maiden tag at the fourth time of asking. The three-year-old has some good form in his back catalogue and he should prove tough to beat.

The £7,000 European Breeders’ Fund EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes (3.00pm) is another interesting event in which Tick Toch is of interest for William Haggas. She finished a good fourth in a smart maiden last time out and is of interesting along with Looktotherainbow who is a half-sister to Group One winner Ribchester and was fourth on her first start.
