A statement said: “The ground is heavy, wet in places and is currently unraceable. Customers can contact us via [email protected] for refunds / exchanges.”

Fontwell staff will now turn their full attention to the big one on Sunday week (February 23) – the National Spirit Hurdle, their richest race of the year.

A stellar line-up is expected for the feature race.
