A BUMPER crowd is expected at Fontwell Park’s family fun raceday tomorrow (Sunday 6).

It continues a busy time at the racecourse, which swung back into action in August with Ladies’ Day and an Armed Forces Raceday.

Sunday’s event combines jump racing with plenty of free entertainment for children, including go-karting, fun fair rides, bouncy castles, zorbing, face painters and a chance to sign up for the Young Hooves Kids Club.

Kids’ favourites Ben and Holly, from Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, will be making personal appearances throughout the day.

The raceday will raise money for the MS Society.

There will be seven races at the only figure-of-eight jumps course in the UK.

Our tips: 2.20 Gioia Di Vita, 2.50 Mountainside, 3.25 Alla Svelta, 3.55 Welcometothejungle, 4.30 Owner Occupier, 5.00 Always Managing, 5.30 Fishy Story.

Racing starts at 2.20 with the Regis Removals Supporting Love Your Hospital Novices’ Hurdle.

The programme also features the Butlins Great Days Out Juvenile Hurdle, Free Tips At Handicap Chase, PRN Nursing/Homecare Supporting Canine Partners Handicap Hurdle, Home & Dry Supporting Chichester Hospital Radio Handicap Chase and the Alison Livingston Memorial Mares’ Handicap Hurdle before the Free Bets At Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race finishes things off at 5.30pm.

You can save money in advance with tickets from just £12 if pre-booked by 3pm on Saturday. Under-18s go free.

Last time out at Fontwell, a decent crowd braved poor weather to support Armed Forces Raceday.

A range of military displays entertained racegoers and there was a healthy turnout of past and present service personnel.
