Shabazz Omofe, 19, who has had spells at Stamford Bridge as a trainee and then Ashton Gate, has joined from National League side Bromley.

Tommy Scutt, another midfielder, who is 18 and with the Pompey Academy, has been recruited until the end of the season.

Scutt has been at Fratton Park since he was nine and played against Man City’s youth side in the FA Youth Cup last season.

Bognor have dual-signed Pagham keeper James Binfield as goalkeeping cover for the final month of the league campaign, which sees the Rocks going toe to toe with Havant in a bid for the Ryman premier title and the only automatic promotion spot.

The trio have essentially joined as cover and will not feature at Enfield this weekend.

A Rocks spokesman said: “We very much welcome all of them to the club.”
