Ridgeway Mercedes-Benz of Chichester have agreed to back the club for 2016.

The much-needed funds will go towards kit for players of all ages at the club, including the first team.

The support of the local dealership helps CRFC towards its ambition to provide an active rugby community all year round for players of all ages and abilities and for coaches, referees and spectators.

Chichester have one of the largest mini and junior sections in Sussex, where rugby tuition is provided to more than 350 children every Sunday.

The club’s coaches, numbering more than 100, deliver more than 30,000 hours of RFU-qualified free child and youth training every year.  With more than 120 registered players across all the senior teams, CRFC accommodate players of all standards, meaning the mantra of ‘rugby for all’ can be met.

It is the family values, professionalism, support and involvement in the community that Ridgeway Mercedes-Benz found attractive. Priding themselves on high-calibre customer care, and continued after-sales support, the dealership see sponsorship as a long-term commitment.

Daniel Stone, Ridgeway dealership manager, said: “We are aware our customers care about Chichester and this community. We all know them personally at the dealership, and we pride ourselves on supporting local families in their activities.

“We want to be special and different for our customers – I am certain they will approve of our sponsorship of Chichester Rugby Club.”

In keeping with the club’s commitment to making rugby increasingly accessible, CRFC plan to further increase summer activities in 2016. It is hoped future funding can help to facilitate more out-of-term-time rugby tournaments.

Ron Migliorini, CRFC Sponsorship head, said: “We are delighted to have prestigious brand Ridgeway Mercedes-Benz on board. We are very excited about their commitment to helping us drive greater inclusion of local young people in Chichester RFC.”
