All three challengers tried their best but Hawkins produced breaks of 68 and 43 to win the frames.

After the league presentations, the audience had the chance to ask Hawkins questions about his snooker career, his aims for next season and the strange decision from World Snooker to make the Snooker Shootout tournament a world-ranking event.

Hawkins showed there was a different side to the high-concentration, poker-faced snooker player he is while trying to beat the likes of Ronnie O’Sullivan at the World Championships.

A laid-back, chilled guy, he offered everyone the time to chat with him, signing everything fans, like snooker balls, cues and cases, and posed for photos with everyone.

Hawkins played a further two frames – one with Christian Chislett, who had the top break of 106 during the league season, and the other against Ashleigh Aslett, which Hawkins sneaked on the final ball.

Congratulations go to all the season’s winners and runners-up who won awards.
