Tone Zoners warming up for London and Brighton
Tone Zone Runners have been busily starting their training in preparation for Brighton and London Marathons.
Fifteen Tone Zone members took part in the Portsmouth Coastal Marathon – a record entry for the club.
Cold winds, rain and terrain including shingle and mud tested the field.
Simon Gill was first home for Tone Zone in 3hr 34min 17sec. Lisa Robinson completed her first marathon with a phenomenal time of 4.45.44.
Farther afield in Hertfordshire, Kari Mack raced in the Buntingford year-end ten-mile race – a popular off-road race.
In ever-increasing form recently, Mack came second in her age category in a time of 1.08.02, a fantastic achievement given the quality of the field.
