Artistic director Nicola Haydn said: “The Electric Arcade is a brand-new live theatre, comedy, music and film venue nestled on Brighton beach, just east of the Palace Pier. This multifunctional space will provide a creative hub for Brighton’s diverse arts sector and access to high-quality live performance to the city’s discerning audiences.

“Featuring two studio theatres and a main cabaret stage within its organic urban design, The Gaiety and The Pit also offer affordable rehearsal space for local artists right in the heart of the city.

“Ahead of live performance restrictions being eased the venue’s two theatre spaces are going to be used as rehearsal spaces. Playing host to a range of local arts companies the venues will house readings, meetings, rehearsals and become writing rooms throughout the spring for stand-up comedians, dancers, playwrights, poets and actors.”

Nicola added: “We've always prided ourselves on finding and creating space for artists to develop and hone their skills and this is just an extension of that – nurturing new work is central to what we do.

“It’s great to be able to have a year-round home again so we can do just that. The performance spaces are due to open with live shows when further restrictions ease but from this weekend our stylish beach front patio is open for business. There might not be live theatre but the stunning view of the sun setting behind Brighton’s iconic pier certainly does provide a bit of drama!”

“Table bookings are open now and we recommend you reserve your space for this destination venue with front row seats to Brighton’s glorious sunsets.”
