WemsFest presents McGoldrick, McCusker & Doyle fundraiser
WemsFest presents McGoldrick, McCusker & Doyle At Home This Spring on Friday, April 2 at 8pm.
Spokesman Mark Ringwood said: “Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker and John Doyle have recorded a very special show to be streamed straight to your laptop, tablet or TV. Following their successful Christmas tour, the trio have recorded a show to be streamed into homes around the world. Linking with venues in America and Canada and across the ocean to venues and festivals throughout Europe and the UK, they perform some favourites from their three widely acclaimed trio albums and also brand-new material specially recorded for this unique performance.
“As winter turns to spring, Mike, John and John will bring you their own blend of top-class folk songs, tunes and charming bonhomie. Best known for their work with Mark Knopfler, Joan Baez, Mary Chapin Carpenter and BBC Transatlantic Sessions as well as artists including David Gilmour, Paul Weller, Solas, Capercaillie and Kate Rusby, the multi-award winning trio have filmed and recorded a one-hour set. Filmed by five cameras in the wonderful intimate setting of The Bury Met Arts Centre and mixed by Cameron Malcolm, this performance will be released as a live album and DVD. Each show is different, and at the end questions submitted from the audiences of each venue and festival make for some unique moments.
“Ticket sales will be split between the artists and the individual venues/festivals, so you can be confident that your purchase will not only support McGoldrick, McCusker and Doyle, but also WemsFest and Southdowns Folk Festival.”
