WALKERS, cyclist and runners will all be taking part in Chichester Challenge this weekend.
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory, takes place on Sunday (July 21).
Taking place for the 16th year, it will once again start at Lavant Village Green where there will be parking and a range of facilities including refreshments and a licensed bar.
Walkers and runners start from 8am to 9.30am and will pass through the Goodwood Estate.
Mountain bikers start from 10am and will go along the South Downs Way and a network of bridle paths.
There is a choice of 15km, 25km and 42km routes for walkers and runners and cyclists can choose 30km or 55km routes.
“The event raises substantial funds for charities through sponsorship of individuals and teams from charities, work organisations and the services,” said Douglas Price, from the Rotary. “It’s a great event which gives you a chance to enjoy the beautiful countryside surrounding Chichester as well as raising money for those in need.”
The event is open to all with entries from families, youth organisations, charities and the services particularly encouraged.
