Chichester Festival TheatreVenue wins international architecture award
Chichester Festival Theatre has won an international architecture award from the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The prize follows an ambitious 21-month, £22m redevelopment project in 2014 by architects Haworth Tompkins.
The design company has worked on similar projects including the acclaimed redesign of London’s Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool’s Everyman Theatre and The Shed at the National Theatre.
Construction firm Osborne is the same company responsible for building work at other West Sussex venues such as the Shoreham Harbour footbridge and new G-Block at Chichester College.
