MADHURST is returning to Midhurst in August after the phenomenal success of the first week-long festival last summer.
The Madhurst festival committee and their team are now taking up the reins to organise more entertainment beginning on Sunday, August 21 with a grand finale at the Cowdray Ruins on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29.
The plans for this year include art exhibitions, music of all genres from jazz to Proms in the Park, drama which will showcase local drama societies, workshops to make jewellery, interactive sculpture and costumes as well as many activities for children.
All the entertainment will take place in Midhurst or the surrounding villages. The official launch of Madhurst 2011 will take place at Easebourne Refectory on Wednesday, April 6 from 7.30pm.
Anyone would like to be involved in Madhurst 2011 is invited to attend the annual meeting at The Wheatsheaf on March 23 at 7.30pm or ring 01730 813362 to be at the launch night.
