Since the start of the year the CCCI has rebranded and added new events to its busy calendar, which has been reflected in an upsurge in new members, the Chamber said.

Commenting on her resignations, Louise said: “With all these exciting developments and changes taking place, it is with a heavy heart that the time has come for me to resign.

“The Chamber has been a significant part of my life for a long time but I can no longer give it the time that I’ve been able to until now.

“I want to thank everyone who has supported me over the years in my various volunteer roles for the Chamber: the long suffering Chamber office; my Deputy Chairmen; the Board of Directors; our partners and supporters - and also to thank our members, for enabling me to help affect change and development on their behalf.”

Chichester Chamber of Commerce is keen to hear from anyone interested in applying for the role of chairman.

“It’s a chance to raise your business profile, make connections, lead the way and feel proud of being a part of something that continues to make a difference,” the Chamber said.
