Brighton Science Festival
Here's our tips on what to do during over the half term break (Monday, February 18 to Sunday, February 24).
During the half term week, children's tickets for the i360 are just 1. Meet a unicorn and go on an adventure in the fairytale trail at Fisher's Farm in Wisborough Green. Ticket prices vary. Visit a new interactive archaeology gallery at Brighton Museum, and come face to face with some of the earliest Sussex residents. Visit Crawley's Squires Garden Centre's for the Create & Grow half-term workshop with a chance to paint an owl or fox money box. Tickets 4.75. Visit the Eastbourne Roller Disco, with a special half term opening day on Wednesday, February 20. 4 entry or 12 for a family ticket. Meet red pandas, meerkats and dozens of other animals at the zoo in Alfriston. Admission price varies. Make your own LEGO brick model of a racing car or frog to take home at The Novium Museum, Chichester. Tuesday, February 19, tickets 5. This educational festival has a packed programme of workshops and shows for young people, showcasing the world of science in Brighton and Hove. There's plenty of great walks in Sussex, including the Ditchling Beacon trail (pictured). See The Tiger who came to Tea at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill on Monday, February 18 and Tuesday, February 19. Suitable for children aged 3+. Tickets 12.50 There's plenty of half-term activities at Worthing's South Downs Leisure sites, from trampolining, swimming, bouncy castles and assault courses.
