Stunning classics in concert for perfect summer evening

The Friends of Sedlescombe Church present singer Thomasin Trezise who will perform some best loved classics on Sunday August 28.

She is professional operatic singer and has worked successfully in opera, music theatre, and Glydebourne.

Thomasin will be performing an evening of opera favourites, including O Mio Babbino Caro by Puccini, The Habanera from Bizet’s Carmen, The Brindisi from Verdi’s La Traviata at Sedlescombe church on Church Hill.

Thomasin was born in Brighton and studied singing at the Royal College of Music with Margaret Kingsley - she currently studies with Anne Mason and Ludmilla Andrew.

She made her Glyndebourne Festival Opera debut in 2008, going on as Mrs Herring in Albert Herring; and in 2009 went on as Second Nymph in the critically acclaimed new production of Rusalka.

Thomasin’s stage work hasn’t been confined to opera - she has sung in music theatre with The Nightingale (The Emperor and the Nightingale) for The Watermill Theatre; Stiffy Byng (By Jeeves!) for The New Victoria Theatre, Newcastle-Under-Lyme and The Babysitter by John Hegley and Steve McNeff, which she premiered at The Battersea Arts Centre.

Her concert work is extensive and includes the role of the Basket Seller in ‘La Vida Breve’ at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall and Messiah and the Matthew Passion with the London Handel Festival at the Royal Festival Hall
