“I’m really looking forward to doing something really big in St Mary-in-the-Castle, because I love the venue.”

Ballads has already received rave reviews; four stars from Jazzwise and five stars from Jazz Journal.

“I was a bit scared because I thought I would be a bit exposed.

“It follows a theme of love; songs of unrequited love, and happy love.”

This is Liane’s second album with twice Grammy nominated Hastings -based music producer James McMillan, and a host of people have been involved from local musicians to Hollywood arranger Chris Walden, who wrote the arrangements for the recent Oscar ceremony. The artwork is designed by Hastings’ Lester Magoogan.

Despite having worked with many big names, Liane is firmly rooted in Hastings. “This is a very special place to come home to,” she said.
