Tarot inspired artwork
An exhibition of work by Respond Academy arts co-ordinator Rebecca Youssefi is at Hastings Trust, 34 Robertson Street, until February 14.
The stories and archetypes of the Tarot deck have been the catalyst for Rebecca’s series of figurative paintings.
She said: “I paint the human experience of living. From birth, to inspiration, solitude, creation, knowledge and inevitably death, the cycles of human life connect all people.
“The fundamentals of living as a human remain unchanged by the nationality, culture or time a person lives in.
“I paint with the intention of answering the question; what is it to be human?”
