A single-vehicle crash closed the A27 between Emsworth and Chichester for two hours earlier today (Thursday, June 18).
According to Sussex Police, a car was involved in a collision after leaving the eastbound carriageway just after 10am.
The driver was reported to have sustained only minor injuries, police said.
A spokesman added: “No other vehicle or person was reported to have been involved.
“The road was closed in both directions while emergency services attended to the casualty and debris across the road, but was reopened in both directions just after midday.”
Traffic was reportedly queuing for more than three miles after the accident on A27 Eastbound from A259 Havant Road (Emsworth Junction) to A259 Cathedral Way (Fishbourne Roundabout).
