All Saints' silent auction
AN elegant model sailing ship, a silver-plated tea service and canteen of cutlery - a treasure-trove of donated items has graced a silent auction.
Supporters visiting the Spring Fair at All Saints' Church Hall, Sidley, were invited into the room at the rear to view the hoard.
A book with the lots listed awaited the written bids of bargain-hunters.

Hide AdThe barometer, the figurine elegantly holding aloft an ash-tray - the choice was wide. In the main hall, delicious-looking apple and bilberry crumble, home-made marmalade and steak and kidney pies competed for supporters' cash with hand-knitted woollens, books, cakes, bric-a-brac and the tombola.
