Anger at new car sales deal delay

ACTION has been demanded by councillors to finally halt kerbside car sales across Bognor Regis.

They were angry a long-promised deal between the district and county councils to allow the vehicles to be removed had still to be signed.

County councillor Mike Coleman said: “I can’t see why this is taking so long.” There had been three or four occasions when the agreement was supposed to be close, he said.

Simon McDougall, a district and county councillor, said: “The situation is unacceptable. It should not be dragging like this.”

Jen Bradbury, a county council highways officer, said the situation was caused by another question needing to be answered as soon as one was solved.
