Back to the 70's

Abba, Prawn Cocktail, Rubik's Cube, and Pebsham Community Primary School - they all started off in the Seventies and are still going strong.

The latter celebrated its own 30th anniversary with a Seventies themed disco on Saturday attended by 80 revellers including past pupils and teachers.

The memories came flooding back as old friendships were renewed and special guests arrived - including original head teacher Bob Platt, first ever reception teacher Mrs Lesley Lake, assistant cook Mary Hoy, and Thelma Nance who was the lollipop lady who first guided Pebsham children safely across the road.

There was a display of current pupils' homework based on the Seventies theme, plus memorabilia to browse over and school photographs and albums from that time.
