Battle teen arrested after drug find

A 16-YEAR-OLD student from Battle has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing in St Leonards.

The teenager was one of four men arrested in Mews Road in the town following a number of complaints from members of the public.

Police were called to the street just after 4.30pm on Tuesday, October 4, where a 19-year-old student was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

Investigating officers searched the man’s home address and found 57 wraps of suspected Class A drugs with an estimated street value of more than £800, along with £170 cash.

Three other men discovered at the address, the Battle teenager, a 23-year-old student from London and a 30-year-old labourer from St Leonards, were also arrested on suspicion of drug possession and supply.

All four were taken to Hastings Police Station whilst the drugs were recovered for forensic tests.

The men were later released on police bail.
